Let's talk about MY weekend, not yours
This weekend was pretty busy. On Saturday we went to Sweet Tomatoes on Lombard, IL for some salad, soups and pizza. Since salad was coming out of our ears we just ended up eating popcorn that night. I also managed to finish Call of Duty 4 on Veteran Difficulty after a few days of yelling and cursing. I pretty much saved the U.S. from being attacked with multiple nukes. Yes, I'm a goddamn hero. I think I might start playing Halo 3 now.

On Sunday we went back to the gym and then headed to the "Italian Store" and the butcher shop. I saw an ex-coworker at the butcher, so that was nice. For dinner Chris made a breaded chicken with goat cheese & salami which was quite tasty. We also watched the MTV Video Music Awards. Yes, leave it to me to find some A1.Super.Fine quality entertainment. I did like how a lot of the live acts were done on outside sets but besides that most of the show was complete garbage. At least Britney is back to being "normal" and Paris' is going to have a new show on MTV. I'll be adding that to my Tivo right after Bridezillas and The Sunset Tan on E!.

We ended the evening by playing curling on Deca Sports for the Wii. It was actually pretty damn cool. Chris provided commentary ("YEP! YEP! HARD! HARD!") while my people swept the ice. She, of course, kicked my ass just like she did the first time we played bowling when we got the Wii.

I leave you now with a video from my good friend Robert Jackson on tips for cleaning the kitchen floor. Do take a look, Trebek.

Jim at the Gym
So we finally got our asses in gear and joined the gym. We had an appointment after work with "Jim at the Gym" for an overview of how most of the weight machines worked and a recommended plan of attack to follow. After the one hour session he talked to us about his "Boot Camp" program. He said it was a little different compared to what we do in the gym. He kinda lost me around the part where we are supposed to go to a warehouse on Friday nights and something about everyone has to fight the first time. The more he talked about it, the more excited he got. He started to look a bit like John Kreese from The Karate Kid. By the time he was done talking about "Boot Camp" I wanted to find Ralph Macchio and kick his ass. Sweep the leg! SWEEP THE LEG!
Trip To Italy
Yes, I'm still alive. I guess alpaca farming was not such a good idea after all. Thanks a lot, Gabe. Did I mention we went to Italy over Spring Break? We pretty much ate everything in Florence, Venice, Capri, Rome and Pompeii. No wimpy tours. No four check-in bags. Hardcore traveling all the way. All you need is a Jewel plastic bag and 1 change of clothes. We kept a blog of the whole thing. Check it out.
Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics are over. I did my usual 40 hours of Curling watching thanks to the magic of Tivo. If you feel like TV doesn't control your existance, give Tivo a try. You'll be saying "Sorry, I can't go out with you this or next weekend, I have 35 hours of curling to watch." in no time. Trust me, girls think that's HOT.

Speaking of HOT, Cassie Johnson was the skip for the U.S. female's curling team. She's mostly at fault for my extensive curling watching this year. Other than Cassie though, curling is a pretty cool sport. Most people don't "get it" and think it's retarded but once you get to know the sport (and the hot women that play it) you'll learn to appreciate it more. If you want to learn more about curling, visit the curling entry at Wikipedia. Then maybe you'll know what to do when a girl is screaming "YEP! YEP! HARD! HARD! HARD!" from accross the ice.

Oh yes, I almost forgot to talk about Lindsey "Method Air" Jacobellis. Lindsey was leading the snowboardcross race by about 5 seconds when the decides to do a "method air" on the next to last jump of the race. Lindsey managed to pull off a lovely "method air" and then completely fell on her "method ass" shortly after landing. It cost her the gold medal but she did gain a world of embarassment. USA! USA! USA!
