If you're scoring at home, that's six of the eight tracks with Roi, the lone without him are the emotional Bartender from August 19, the day Moore passed away, and a Tripping Billies from Alpine.
Curiously missing are the new Rhyme And Reason with Tim Reynolds jam, and most were expecting to hear a soundboard of the fans singing lead on Jimi Thing. albeit the fan-recordings really capture the Jimi Thing's well.

Live Trax 2008 Sampler Due Date

Remember back in March when we reported ‘Buy A Ticket, Get Free Music’? It was if you bought a Dave Matthews Band ticket you would get music from the 2008 tour. Well now that we all bought the ticket and went to the show (and in many cases repeated the process) everyone is wondering when we might get the elusive download and secondly, what’s going to be on it? Well we finally have an answer to the ‘When’ part. Those of you that purchased tickets through either Ticketmaster or The Warehouse will be receiving an email on Thursday, November 13th (yes this Thursday!) with iTunes redemption codes. The album apparently will be titled Live Trax 2008. Still no details on what made the final cut and will be on the summer tour sampler. We’ll be sure to breakdown the performances once the track list is released.
Report: Coffin In Talks to be Permanent Replacement at Sax

A published report confirms what most people presumed; Jeff Coffin may likely be "officially" the next permanent member of the Dave Matthews Band.
According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Coffin is, "is in talks to permanently replace (LeRoi) Moore as saxophone player in the Dave Matthews Band."
Coffin is a visiting faculty member at the University of Utah, where DMB "guest" Trumpeter Rashawn Ross is a Recurring faculty member, and performed October 31 at the University of Utah as part of a benefit concert.

With no new shows on the horizon for Dave Matthews Band fans to look forward to, we do the next thing we know how to do best – anticipate, wonder, dream, and desire about a new album. As many of you all know a new album isn’t a new idea. The band has been working on the new album over the last year, including a studio stretch in early March of this year. For those that may have missed it, here is a video from the March Studio Sessions to check out.

Next Live Release Confirmed: Live@ MHMF

, the next official Live@ album release will be Live at Mile High Music Festival. The concert took place on 7/20/08 outside Denver, CO. The release follows the Live Trax 13 2008 release from Bush Stadium - 6/7/08. While also from 2008, the MHMF show incorporates over a months worth of changes to the songs with 20 shows between the two concerts. Additionally the show has Jeff Coffin as a guest filling in for LeRoi Moore. The setlist features a couple new songs to the official release world which include Sledgehammer (Peter Gabriel cover), and a full-band Gravedigger.What’s interesting about this Live@ release is that it lacks the accompanying DVD of the show. A video recording of the show was webcast live from the concert, yet it doesn’t make a DVD release. This is the first time there has been a Live@ release without a DVD since Live@ Chicago released in 2001. The Live@ Chicago concert was also webcast and caused eyebrows to rise when the album was released. This was because when you play the Live@ Chicago audio release up with the webcast from the show there are parts that don’t match. Most notably Boyd solos are edited with different ones. Might this Live@ MHMF recording be edited in the same way and one of the possible reasons why a video release is not being made? We’ll have to wait to find out when the album is released on Tuesday December 16, 2008, just over a week before the Christmas holiday. Also surprising is the official DMB store isn’t offering any incentive to purchase the album through them with the additional shipping costs as opposed to your local retail outlet. Usually a bonus disk or contest of some kind is in order, much like last years Live@ Piedmont release which featured a 4 or 8 track bonus disk. The album is however available in a couple of bundles with other merchandise. Visit here to preorder.
